Kindness Cards are one of our favorite day-to-day acts of kindness, and are a great way to get people together and organized while reminding folks that there’s good things ahead.
Whether you want to request a pack of cards to handout or want to inquire about classes, this page is your go-to.
Workshops
Hands-on fun, supportive staff, and a mix of structured activity and open creative time. We’ll bring the supplies and you’ll leave with your own set of cards.
Kindness Cards
We can hook you up with some pre-written cards- all you gotta do is hand them out!
KC Kits
Perfect for folks who don’t live in the Greater KC Area- or just DIYers! We’ll send you blank cards, envelopes, and some stickers so you can build your own cards at home.
“Sitting down to write kind notes to strangers helped interrupt the spiral, and the process of hiding [Kindness Cards] helped me be intentional on where and how I was spreading my version of joy.”
Kindness Cards were the foundation of Kindness City and began as a way for founder Lindsey to work through her own mental health journey.
Sample Schedule - 1hr Workshop
-
We’ll arrive prior to the workshop to make sure everything is set-up from stations to craft supplies, and everyone will get a name tag and get comfortable. We’ll introduce ourselves and explain some of our philosophy and what we do, then lead the group in a few deep breathes to acclimate the space.
-
We’ll have the group go around the room and introduce themselves, along with something they’re grateful for. This gets the creative and considerate juices flowing, and helps us all remember the little things in our own lives that make it all worth it.
-
Hands-on time to work on your own cards- either drawing or writing. We’ll go over some quick examples(and have some visible for folks) and be available to answer questions or help brainstorm/facilitate.
-
We’ll thank everyone for coming our and help hand out baggies if folks need to carry their cards home, and usually will have a table with stickers and other finished cards to hand-out. You’ll get to take home what you made and spread the love!
